While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Can anyone tell me why Meade recommends only using inside plugs when
running on the grid? The only thing I can think of is that perhaps it
is older advice (or, given that their manuals are so bad, one can
imagine that this advice might not be so well thought out either) and
that I'm fine with the GFI outlet on my deck. I'd rather not
electrocute anyone (especially since my dark site is 40 minutes from
the nearest hospital), but I'd also not like to pump my heat out the
partially open door or window into the night sky during the winter.
LP is expensive enough and it isn't trivial to have it delivered to
where I am either.
