While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book
List ? |
Hi John:
I assume you want it for astrophotography. I got a smaller wedge (I think it
was labeled for the 10 inch LX200) when I got my 8 incher LX. I soon found
that it was much too shaky for serious photography. When I moved up to the
superwedge, most of the shakiness went away (there was still a lot in the
forks, but very little in the wedge). Unfortunately, my attempts at guiding
the LX, using an ST-4 as the guider, were unsuccessful, so I'm using German
equatorials now. However, many people have good results with the
fork-mounted LX on a Meade superwedge, a Milburn, or a ??? (blanking on the
name) wedge.
Hope that helps...
Bert
