Good, now that the Box and the Camera are connected. Lets tackle the next problem.
When you start Pictorview and then go to File, Setup, how many adapter numbers are in the pull down window on the SCSI Connection section of the setup window. I suspect that you have 0 and 1 there, that 0 is selected. Try selecting 1. [This is equivalent to Greg's suggestion to edit the ini file by hand]. Exit Pictorview, and then restart it. Are there any error messages during startup?
On startup, Win 98 will see the pictor as a new device and want to load drivers for it. There are no drivers needed, so just cancel. This is not a problem. In fact, I use that message box to confirm that the pictor can be seen by windows.
As for RS-232 connects. If you want to use the Pictorview software to control the electric focusser or to use the auto mosaic or the auto center features of Pictorview, you will need to have an RS-232 cable from the computer running pictorview to the RS-232 jack on the LX200.

As suggested I downloaded from ADAPTEC their ASPI SCSI drivers and they are in use by Win 98 as checked by the Control Panel. But I have not had any problems with Win98 seeing the SCSI card, it is PictorView that complains. I still get an Other Device warning in the Device Manager listed as "MEADE Pictor 416" and when I boot up the system asks for Pictor drivers. I placed both Pictor floppy disks in the drive but the op system could not find any relevant drivers.

It uses an RS232 interface from my computer to a control computer in the dome and then plugs into the RS232 port on the base of my Lx200. I also have TheSky for controlling my scope via another RS232 port. Do I need another RS232 port available for PictorView and if so what do I plug it into as the pictor manual says it should go to the LX200 232 port but that is already in use?
