I had the same problem as Douglas Benn describes and found it to be a cable from the camera to control box. Meade sent me one cable replacement and it acted exactly like the first. I came to the conclusion that it was the connector on the camera and was going to sent everything back to Meade. Meade sent my yet another cable and I expected it to fail also but it worked just fine. Don't know why Meade cables seem to be so sensitive but they apparently are.
They will probably send you a new cable if you call and talk to them but also realize that the camera connector - cable connector is a poor design in my opinion. It should be supported so no stress can be applied to this connection by the cables weight and then it will usually work OK. Others have suggested hooking the camera cable to the handle on the back of the scope to give it support and that seem to solve problems caused from stressing that connection.
Lots of luck
