While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Greg,
I followed your design for the lightbox and built one
for the 16"lx200 in our observatory.
Ive noticed that the light bulbs closer to the power
source are a little brighter than those in the
opposite corner.
Im not too wise in electricity but I connected every
four light bulbs serial and the two pairs of the
remaining wires are then connected parallel, the
illumination will then be more similiar all around the
diffuser. This way one can still easly know if theres a
burned light, because all the other 3 connected with it
will turn off,and the remaining four will become
brighter.
Thanks again for the drawings! They were very helpful.
Clear skies.
Assaf B.
