While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book
List ? |
I'm going to invoke the ten day rule, which JohnLX200 posted a few
weeks ago saying that you weren't allowed to criticism him publicly
or you would be kicked off, _unless_ you had contacted him privately
and spent at least ten days trying to work things out. I spent more
than that, to no effect and some level of insult.
Those who are tired of draconian measures like the one attached,
double mails, extremely slow mail delivery (sometimes to the point of
no delivery at all) and other such problems should go over to
groups.yahoo.com and sign up for the LX200 groups. They have 300
members, which is a far cry from this groups 1,300 (hence my
subscription to both and my tolerance of John), but it is a nice group
of folks who are every bit as willing to help out as those here.
In addition, yahoo groups has a calendar (think star parties, meteor
showers, LX300 release dates ;-) ), links, files, chat, polls all the
stuff you would expect from something modern.
I encourage everyone to check it out...
