While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Hi Chris and Krisopher,

I guess my reaction to the bungee cord idea was also based upon my recently
starting to use my wedge. After several times of hefting that bad-boy 12" up
the needed angle, I noticed the photo in my LX200 manual that illustrates
Meade's apparent recommendation for how to lift the telescope up to the
wedge.

Since discovering that photo, I find it is a lot easier hold it by the
two handles on the underneath side like they suggest, but for stability, rest
the OTA on one shoulder. This is easier with the Dec. locked down.
