While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

OK John,

I'll accept the offer of free speech to congratulate you on sticking with a
job few understand but many appreciate. Back in the "old days", I ran an
"underground" bulletin board service in Hawaii...hard to get the number for,
and even harder gain access to because of the "Draconian" operator...me <G>
It was called Midnight Madness and that was when the madness began. The main
content of the board covered the realm from phone phreaking to code cracking
(included software as well as penetration of systems). I took it upon myself
to put the board up, monitor it during the hours of operation (depended on
the heat being applied), and add/modify information other than messages. It
was exhausting but exhilarating. Anyway, I have to empathize with your
position. Sometimes it's really tough to draw the line so that is understood
as rational and reasonable rather than...arbitrary and self-serving. And
that obviously depends upon which side of the line one happens to be
standing.

My hat's off to you and I for one truly appreciate your efforts. My feeling
is that when the children misbehave, send them to timeout...apply the switch
only when absolutely necessary <BG>

Thanks for your patience and perseverance. Hang in there.
