While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

You don't say if you have the hard wired or battery version. i have the battery version which i find hard to focus if the red illuminator is too bright, it's much better with the light set to a low level. Having never used the hard wired version i don't know if the focusing is better on the battery version or not.

My biggest problem with this piece of kit is not being able to see all of the scale when it is focused to my eye. recent checks indicate i have 20/20 vision. it may be a case of getting used to it.

Good Luck and Dark Skies

I just received a new Meade MA12 illuminated reticle astrometric eyepiece. The EP has a helical focuser, but I am unable to completely focus the reticle. At 'best' focus, if I hold my eye just right some, but not all, of the reticle lines are clear. The rest have more of a blurred rather than out of focus appearance. Is this normal, or do I have a defective unit? Thanks,

Nick
