While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Along the lines of "serial link failure", I bought a new Gateway computer in
December. I've been remotely ccd imaging (about 100 ft) w my LX 200
successfully for a couple of years. I now cannot establish a telescope link
with my new computer. Meade used to have a program to check the connection,
but my new computer doesn't use DOS. Meade suggested I go to a website that
offers a test for the serial connection, but I couldn't get that test to
run.....any suggestions? My CCD camera isn't working so well now either....LW
