I've used my LX200 for up to six hours off my car battery and had no problems.
I would only worry if the car battery is in bad shape. If you have left the
lights on all night on more than one occasion, and the battery is five years
old or more, then be concerned.

By the way, I think I got wind of this Andes star party all the way up here in
the northern Andes (Rocky Mountains <G>). The word is spreading.
