First of all could someone explain what flocking paper is to me. The verb
doesn't explains the word, and I can't find it in a dictionary either...
I suppose it is some kind of black paper ? How do you best flock the inside
of the baffle tube? Isn't any light cut off, that should reach the eypiece
by the extra thickness of the paper? Are there any pics available ?
Thanks,
Maarten

Yes, I would say that is overkill. Not harmful though. I went thru most of
that with my 12" LX200. I found that flocking the inside of the OTA and the
dew shield had very little effect. But flocking the inside of the baffle
tube, which was the easiest of all to do, was very important. The "baffles"
in the baffle tube of my scope are really shiny. Looking at the sky near
the Moon was a horrible mess of glare before and nice and dark after.
