While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

What was the first thing almost all of us were told when deciding to buy our
first scope?
"buy the biggest aperture you can afford"
I think if the scope was light enough to carry to dark sites by yourself on
a regular basis, we would all have one.
I own a 10" and I know for a fact if I could afford it I would have
purchased the 12". Here in the UK at today's exchange rate the scope would
cost me 6,600 dollars.
So what I'm trying to say is you've got the cash or a very generous wife, go
for the 12", no if's or but's.

Clear sky's
to all us 12" want-a-be's and all you lucky 12" onwer's
