I have just bought a used Starfinder 8inch equatorial made at the end of =
1995. It was probably one of the first with the 12V RA drive. However, =
it always runs too fast in RA. If I look at the inside, the ring gear =
has 144 teeth and therefore the worm drive should turn once every 10 =
minutes. Mine turns in only 8 minutes. I've had several goes at =
adjusting the mask between the LEDs, but 8 mins is the slowest it will =
go. Has anyone come across this problem?
Thanks
