While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Michael,

I had considered this when I recently flocked my Dynamax 8 SCT. I decided not
to flock the outside after I noticed that it would reduce my ability to slide
the mirror off one end of the baffle tube.

I also concluded that with the main tube flocking, a non-flocked exterior
baffle would not be a big deal.

I looked up my LX200 baffle from the eyepiece end, and it has the scoring you
mention. The shiniest part seemed to the be 4-5 inches toward the end. The
partial flock as suggested earlier may indeed be the way to go, or deal with a
little light loss using Bill's method.
