While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

It seems that 201XT is focused. As I live in some open area with wide views
(20km open horizon) I could aim the telescope on a distant street light.
201XT is also almost parfocal with a standard 9mm Plossl 4000 from Meade.

The question here is that brilliance data changes wildly (ex: from 44 to
56) in each reading making focusing a challenge. The same happens with
stars (seeing was not so very bad...) Is it normal ?

Other strange thing is that seems that 201XT have some large delays in
readings. For example, if I cover the scope then only after, at least three
readings, I can get results of brilliance below 10. Then for each action on
focusing or moving the telescope it have delays in readings making the
thing almost impossible to use.

I´ve calibrated the unit and start guiding with readings like 00 and 01.
After some ten readings strange things happens. Suddenly readings of 90, 90
,90 and after 98, 98 etc... . Other strange thing is that the brilliance
value you obtain in FF mode (ex:90) is higher than in guide mode (in this
case 70).

All those things makes no much sense for me.

If someone have configuration data for a LX50 10" (calibration data,
exposure timesxstar mag) please let me know.

Paulo
