While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Group,

Part 2 was a raging success. It's amazing what another day and a little
more patience can accomplish. Within 20 minutes I had my scope back
perfectly collimated with stars being dead on in and out of focus at 600X.
All the rings were perfectly concentric with the secondary reflection
exactly centered. Now come Friday I will put it to the test when Mars comes
up. Hopefully the weather will cooperate this coming weekend. Thank you to
everyone who replied with suggestions on collimation. Everything helped me
out tremendously and now I think it's safe to say, I no longer fear
collimating my scope. It should get easier and easier now with each new
iteration of the process.

Thanks again,

Chris
