Hey Greg,
Could you explain why you made the above statement? In
my experience, it makes no difference whether I'm
shooting 30 or 120 minutes. Then again, I've never
used a guidescope set-up. Of course, there's always
the possibility that more things can go wrong during a
longer exposure.

After lurking and reading posts on the SBIG users
list, I'm considering removing my NGF-S. I was already
aware of the internal reflections ( the insides need
flatting or flocking) but it also contributes to
vignetting. I haven't really noticed this yet but, it
may become more serious as I move into CCD's. It also
keeps me away from the pole as the camera end would
hit the forks, it adds excess length to my imaging
system, and it adds extra weight where I don't need or
want it. I took plenty of good pics before I added it,
so we'll see.

Greg, you are aware of Chris Vedeler's mirror
lock-down bolt? Also, it's not possible to attach the
GEG behind the NGF-S? It seems like there ought to be
some way to hook it up.
Alan
