While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

I finally took my RA assembly apart and found - as so many others have -
many metal chips.

To clean the (not really) worm gear, is it best to take it off the assembly?
It's held on with several cap screws; with them removed does the worm gear
just pop off or must it be tapped? Is it best to just clean and re-lube it
still attached?
