Hey Tom,
I'd say go with the f/10 and focal reducer, I think
that's a better option than the 6.3 and extender. If
you plan on ccd work, then strong consideration needs
to be paid to the 6.3.

Before I had an autoguider, I was taking exposures up
to 2 hours. Now that I have 2 autoguiders, any
manually guided exposure is too long. :-))

Train the smart drive as soon as you can, it's easy.
