While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book

Hi Phil:
I wasnn't confused about offsets. I was confused why anyone would set up
their scope with an offset, when all they had to do is input the GMT and
their location(longitude and Latitude)and never have to worry about changing
it again. I went through the same confusion when I first got my scope. A
friend of mine and a member of this list told me about the GMT and I have
used it ever since with no problems what so ever. Meade for some reason
doesn't tell this to their customers. I wish they would it would sure be
less confusing for all of us.
