While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book

Does anyone have a good explanation as to why the price difference between the
8" and 10" LX200 is only $400 but to go from the 10" to 12" the price jump is a
whopping $1300? Isn't everything basically identical between the 10" and 12"
besides the OTA (obviously the mount is a little bigger also)? Just curious as
to this pricing strategy and I thought there was something I might be missing.
The 12" seems to sell really well so I guess most people feel it's worth the
extra $1300 for 2". I'm planning on upgrading from the 8" to the 12".
