While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

I have got the 416xte to guide a film exposure. I had a OM1 attached to a
Tak FS78, piggybacked on a 10" LX200 with the 416 attached to it. I went
into the focus mode, set up the exposure for around 1 sec, and made sure I
had the "track centroid" function checked. Ofcourse I had a bright star in
the ccd field, but the 416 kept it centered. This gave me round stars on a
40 minute film image of M45. I dont believe this is good on the shutter
though, seeing how it has to move every second for 40 minutes. But my camera
was fine.
