Hry Kevin,
I've only used the Taurus T III. It is a great
guider/flip mirror system. Your camera is attached at
the back, then you focus the telescope for optimum
focus through the camera.
Now, the view and guide ports are individually focused
using helical threads. I spent several hours on the
initial setup, but after that... WOW! Everything is at
best focus, all you have to do is drop your reticle EP
or autoguider in and you're ready to guide. When you
need to tweak the camera focus, you use the regular EP
in the view port. When you're ready to start the
exposure, the view EP slides up and out of the way.
The unit is made out of sturdy plastic, this bothers
some people. Once you see it though, you know strength
is not an issue.
