While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Hi All,

I had posted these questions earlier under RE:LX50 &
90 subect vs a new subject..(superwedges)and never saw
an answer.. maybe cuz no one has one or maybe cuz the
subject did not pertain to my questions.. either way..
just posting the questions one more time for any
possible resposnses.. :) sorry for being redundant..

I was considering getting the superwedge.. BUT.. after
all the info posted about all the tweaking of the
superwedge, Im not sure if I should get the super,
regular or some autofocuser products.. I have had my
lx200 8" for a very short time. I have very few
accessories just yet..(trying to take it slow..pant,
pant).I have a scopesaver which is really nice since I
MUST take down my 8" every time I use it else I would
have gone for the 10". The superwedge is supposed to
be able to fit onto the scopesaver just like the
standard wedge. I plan on getting into CCD with SBIG
ST-7 series .. eventually (sigh)... ok a few questions
now arise:

1) should I get the super vs standard considering take
down is a must and considering CCD is my goal?
2) does the either wedge have to come off the base of
the lx200 each time you take it down?
3) with all the issues about the superwedges, is it
better to go with a Mettler or equivilant wedge.

I'm sure I have LOTS more questions but this will do
for now.. HELP.. anyone?

Clear skies to all,

JP
