While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Hi JP

I'll take a stab at your questions. Until I mounted my 10" LX200
permanently I took it down every time. I used the SuperWedge for imaging
with a CookBook 245 camera, so I had to drift align every time I set up.
This was somewhat time consuming at first, but became easier and faster as I
gained experience. I got to the point where I could be set up and ready to
image in about 30-45 minutes. The SuperWedge is not the easiest to adjust,
so if you plan to do this for the foreseeable future you may want to invest
in one of the aftermarket wedges (Milburn, etc.). I left the SuperWedge
attached to my field tripod and removed the scope. If you think mounting
the scope in Alt-Az is fun wait til you try lifting it up to the wedge!
But, it did work; I just left the top mounting bolt in place on the drive
base and slipped this into the slot on the SuperWedge. Good luck with your
future efforts.

Clear skies
