While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

There has been some discussion about daytime observing with the LX200.
I can routinely use it to view Venus, Mercury, Jupiter and Saturn. Many
bright stars are easy and I have seen down to mag 2 stars during the
day. The 'scope is very capable. The only critical points are good
alignment (to put the object near the centre of FOV) and good focus.
