I am a past LX200 owner (1995) and have recently re-subscribed to this
group (two months). I don't see the "dec motor failure, mother board
issue" dialogs that were SO very prevalent several years ago.

I'm curious. Has Meade "finally" resolved the issues that created the
problems? Or, has this group educated people so well, it is handled as a
matter of routine?

I'm considering getting another LX, and was wondering if this issue is
now a thing of the past. (my LX200, f/6.3, 10" experienced three such
failures, under warranty thank goodness).
