Chris What part of Retirement don't you understand? Not to be mean
spirited or anything but
Doc has stated in the past he is not available to do this very thing you
ask of him. I know there is no way you could have known this unless you
were to read his past replies to this question. So don't take this as a
put down. I among the many would love it if we could talk Doc G into
anything he will do for US either individually or as a group.

There are several people who are looking into doing this. Other than
that we all hold our breath with eager anticipation.

Doc you are missed and you havent even left the building. As for the
other guys who may make a "NEW" manual please hurry we need it
yesterday. >>

Dr. Ray, I sent an e-mail to Doc, Ettore who first pointed out my error, and
anyone else on MAPUG who may have taken offense, apologizing about my
comments. I did not know my attempt at humor would bring some of the
comments it has. Your right, I did not know that Doc has stated in the past
he is not available to do this. I stated in my first post that I am a
"newbie."

You asked, not being mean-spirited, "what part of retirement do you not
understand?" I guess to me it means having the ability to do what you love
and want to do rather than what you have to do when your deep into earning
and raising a family. Am I so far off from what your perception of it is?

When I upgraded from a Meade 203SC, one of the deciding factors for the LX200
versus the Celestron U2K was this group. Someday, I hope to be as
knowledgeable a contributor as both you and Doc are. Until then though, I
would hope that people would cut me some slack and forgive my errors cause I
know not rules. Once again, sorry to Doc, you and anyone else who may have
taken offense. I will ensure I do not attempt to interject humor anymore.
Seriously and respectfully - Chris.
