Below is an email I sent to JMI and thier response. I had the same
question about clearance. Apparently you need to remove the stock visual
back adapter and use the JMI bayonet adapter which threads onto the 3.25
threads on the scope back. I currently have an Eyeopener adapter which
accepts bayonet type diagonals and maybe that will fit the JMI focuser also
since it has a full 2" opening.

Mr. Wood,
Both the NGF S and SE will allow you to go to zenith with the Tele-Vue 2
inch star diagonal with the draw tube fully extended. The bayonet type
diagonals work best. If using a thread on type of diagonal you will end up
hitting the base. I do not believe that it is possible to swing through
with the SBIG ccd camera attached. The amount of space is limited so a
trail run in the light with any configuration is recommended, before you
hear the unmistakable sound of focuser meeting base in the dark.
Respectfully,
Susan
