If you are interested in the ST-7E (which, IMHO, is worth being interested
in), you might check for used ones. I bought mine used, and saved about
$1000 on the whole rig (camera, CFW-8, f/3.3 reducer, cables and carrying
case).

I'm still looking at a first CCD camera and would like to hear from anyone
currently using a Starlight Xpress CCD Camera. The MX7C is of interest along
with the STAR 2000 self-guider.
I downloaded the MX7C manual and one issue that concerns me is the
statement that the operating software does not run on either NT or Win2K.
Since these are the only two operating systems I run this limitation may be
a show stopper.
Other possible candidates are the SBIG ST237 but I'm concerned by it's
inability to autoguide. The SBIG ST7E would be nice but cost is an issue.
Any thoughts?
