If you have the base open sometime you can check for the resistors. I
recommend them for all of the scopes. I know they have been installed
for some time now, but I do not know the date when they started. I am
sure they do not want to effect a "recall."
You can add these resistors. They are stuck with little clips and
double sided tape inside the base. There is one in series with each
motor lead.

I do sometimes understate and sometimes I have a naughty sense of
humor. But not this time. Just the facts, sir! Just the facts!
