While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Hey Larry,

This subject is covered in the manual, and it's not
really very technical, so I don't think there will be
lots of info in the archives. You can access the
object library directly by pushing the 'M' button on
the keypad. This will allow you to enter a Messier
object; say 57, the Ring Nebula. After the # is
entered, push 'enter' and the object info will be
displayed: size, magnitude, etc... At this point,
hitting the 'goto' key will slew the scope to the
entered object, assuming proper setup and alignment.

There are also keys for 'CNGC' and 'Star'. Look
closely at the keys running up and down on the right
side of the keypad. These work about the same way as
the 'M' key.

Check it out, you'll get used to it.
