While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Perhaps the Nexstar 11 GPS will get Meade motivated--BTW, in the last 12
months, the price of the LX-200 has dropped over $1,000 in two big
increments so they may be trying to "goose" their sales just a bit :-).
