Congratulations on your new telescope...this one is a keeper. As an owner
of a 10" for almost 4 years, I can tell you that it's a lot heavier than the
C-8 you owned. Make things easy for yourself and buy a ScopeSaver table.
This accessory will save your back and allow you to use this heavier scope
with greater frequency.
You will need a few necessary accessory items and here are my suggestions:
(1) Eyepiece: My favorite ep for this scope is the 22mm Panoptic. Al
Nagler must have made this eyepiece exclusively for this scope...it's
perfect!
(2) Dew Shield: A flexible plastic shield will get you started. Later,
you may want to buy a Kendrick's system.
(3) A 12 volt battery (or battery pack) is important for trips to star
parties or dark sky sites.
(4) A carry case makes storage of your scope safe and easy. Suggest that
you look into a hard case.
This should keep you going until your check book stops smoking.
Al
