While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

I was out using the lx200 10" last night. I was
observing M3 and M5 and then I proceeded to goto
M81/M82.I pressed goto and the scope started a goto in
the correct direction but just as it was about 6 bars
from getting there the goto stopped and the ammeter
spike all the way across the scale. I quickly checked
the wires to see if the dec cord had come loose or
something but it seemed ok. I shut down immediately
and then proceeded to realign. After that no problems.
Anything to worry about? BTW the scope is 9 mos. old
and only used a few times since buying last August.
