First glance at your message would indicate some sort of shift or movement
as the scope neared/passed the zenith. This is a trouble spot for 2
reasons: First, 'Mirror Flop' as the scope passes over, and second, at one
moment the motors are dragging the scope up and over, then they are holding
the scope from falling the rest of the way down. Its a good place to see
all the play in the gear train!

Does anyone know if a Meade 8" LX200 should have any trouble tracking
properly while pointed straight up? The scope was on an eq wedge. I had a
f6.3 focal reducer, flip mirror and ccd camera adding weight to the back
end.
I was imaging the other night. All my images of objects near the zenith
were
blurred. All the other objects were in good focus.
