While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

I have not been using the finder scope on my LX200 because it will not stay
centered after it is removed and replaced. I find it easier to sight over
the top of the tube and find the object Im looking for in a wide angle EP
than fiddle with the finder scope alignment.

I have used several rifle and pistol scopes that you can mount and dismount
and they return to zero to a high degree of precision. Does anybody know of
a quality mount for the finder scope that will stay aligned after repeated
remountings. I have to remove it every time I use the scope since I have to
dolly (hand truck) the scope to the top of the hill in my backyard and the
finder scope must be off during this operation. High quality detachable
rifle/pistol scope mounts using dovetail setups are easily avail but I cant
find anything similar for telescopes so far.

Thanks
