Hi Bill,
I had the same problem until someone [probably on MAPUG] suggested
that I drill a small dent in the base of the dovetail for the finder
exactly where the setscrew tightens down to hold the finder to the
base. That way the finder always tightens down in the same place.
Problem solved!
BTW, I think that Meade has improved the design over time because
I was showing a friend where to drill on a new LX200 at a scope
store and it seems that Meade added a groove to help center the
finder.
