Hi all, I have had my LX200 now for several weeks and last night was my
first adventure in polar alignment. (Used alt-az up to this point). Anyway my
question is this.
Upon aligning with Polaris using the wedge adjustments only and hitting Enter
the scope slews to a second star for me to sight which is invariably behind a
tree. I am doing this from the backyard and my sky viewing is rather
limited. Obviously if I cannot see the second star I cannot complete the
alignment. I was able to find several objects by slewing to them, however
most were off the field of view by a degree or so. Thanks for any help you
all can give.
Bob
