While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Well, I have the 10" LX200 f/10, but I think the same basic principles
apply. If you think the ultrawides are expensive, I guess you haven't
priced the new Naglers! I always try to keep a few on my birthday and
Christmas lists...just in case. I'd say you should look at something
in the 17-22mm range and something in the 31-40mm range and possibly
a good barlow to fill in some gaps. My personal preference would be
a 17mm or 22mm Type IV Nagler, but the 22mm Panoptic is also a good
choice. The 31mm Type V Nagler at the high end is a great eyepiece but
extremely expensive. Alternatives include the 35mm Panoptic, 40mm
MK-70 Konig, or maybe the 30mm APM Widescan Type II. The latter two
are $200 and pretty nice eyepieces for the money. I have the Konig. I
also have the 22mm Nagler, my overall favorite eyepiece.
