While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Can some one tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I am trying to use the Flamsteed No. to SAO conversion tables found at Robin
Gatter's Home Page and am having difficulty.

As an example, I want to goto alp. Sco (Flamsteed # 121). According to the
conversion tables, the SAO designation is 184415. When I enter this object
into the Meade computer it responds with a message "Object not found". How
ever if I enter the Meade star number 177, no problem.

I have tried this with several objects. NGC objects, Meade star numbers,
and M objects all work fine. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong.

Thank you
-Tony
