I know this is a very basic question but I am still not certain how the OTA
should be positioned just prior to power-up.

I have an LX200 10" with a super wedge and it is polar aligned. My wedge
reads 29 degrees N as I am in Florida.
Should my base RA read 0 degrees and Dec on the OTA 29 degrees (10"
collector pointing straight up at sky) prior to power-up? What will the
computer have stored as RA and Dec coordinates?

Thanks.

Douglas
