Hi Ralph, after doing the iterations between Polaris and Alkaid I would synch on Alkaid each time until Polar alignment was achieved. I would then do the goto to Arcturus and be way off.
I did try synching on Arcturus before doing the goto back but the scope would then miss Alkaid.

The same scenario between Alkaid and Vega.

Some quick information:

Do you sync on the first star and then slew?

If you slew back to the first star (after missing badly at the second star) are you close?
