[M]: RA Motor Block Compression Spring

Has anyone experimented with a more "stiff" compression spring for the RA motor
block assembly? I noticed that the OEM spring does not sit the worm as snuggle
as it should (I think) into the RA gear. As a result, I get a little "rocking"
motion after the RA clutch is engaged. When the worm bottoms out into the RA
gear, the rocking motion is eliminated. So I thought that a compression spring
with slightly more force would be in order.

Also, what method is used to measure the "force" that a compression spring
exerts.
