Michael,
I just recently changed out springs on my LX and it was very easy to do. I
just went to the hardware store and found a stiffer and a bit longer spring.
I found that the longer spring created some laboring of the dec assembly so I
shortened it a bit and think it to be an improvement. I also replaced the RA
unit with the same spring and that seems more solid also, yet still seems to
motor along okay.
