The screws were too tight on mine on both the RA & DEC. The spring
couldn't move either of them! Slight eccentricity was causing no play
in one spot and lots on the opposing side.
I reduced the tension by squashing the springs a bit with the pliers,
DEC backlash setting went from 50 to 13 and after retraining PEC
tracking has improved vastly.
