To follow up on my last post where I said my new cable (from DEC) performed
OK in reply to your comment that your scope "stopped" when slewing.

After a normal polar alignment, my scope will slew South to well below the
horizon and North to just before the finder scope hits the West (?) fork
(the one with the Dec scale).

So, yes, my scope stops too, with both the DEC cable and the Meade cable,
but it only stops where it is supposed to.
