While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

I have been using my 12" LX200 with the diagonal mirror recently - I
usually only do CCD imaging. With an extended and most enjoyable
session, I was concerned to see that the diagonal fitting screwed up to
the back of the mirror leaving a looseness that periodically let the
(heavy) unit rotate downwards, giving me something of a shock because it
generated a loud squeak at the same time. The unit can only be screwed
in normally so what is the answer here?

regards

Lawrence Harris
