Hi!
I have assembled some information on connecting an LX-200 to a G4.
Check this link:

...and click on the "Connecting a Telescope..." link.
The short answer is that, yes, you will need a USB-to-serial adapter
*and* a cable to go from the adapter to your LX-200. I haven't tested
the Belkin adapter; I use one from Keyspan, and it works like a champ.
